The quiet zone is an area designated specifically for quiet study and reading. Proper signs and displays are provided to explain the location of the designated area.

The quiet zone is in the back of the library on the first floor. The following rules are observed:

  • Talking is not allowed, including on cell phones.
  • Cell Phones and electronic devices must be silenced.
  • Personal video and music devices, including laptops, must be used with headphone. Sounds from these devices must not be audible to other people.
  • White noise machines are provided for use in the quiet zone.

Users who fail to observe these rules may be asked to leave the library.
