In general, course reserve books may only be checked out for 2 hours at a time and used in the library (as stated in our Checkout Times Policy). But users checking out course reserve items within one hour of the library closing may request to take the items overnight. The librarian on duty approves such requests at his or her discretion. Overnight course reserves are due at 9AM the following business day. Course reserves checked out overnight on Friday are due back Sunday at 4PM.
Because reserve items are high demand, the penalty for late return is $24.00 dollars a day. In order to checkout reserve materials overnight, users must sign an R.A. Williams Library Reserve Overnight Checkout User Responsibility form agreeing to the due date and acknowledging the fine.
